Good afternoon, everyone. I am very glad to stand here to make a presentation of my teaching plan for Unit 5 Why do you like pandas? in Grade 7 Student’s Book. This unit consists of three parts: Listening, Speaking and Writing. First, let me introduce the listening part. In this part, students will learn how to listen for specific information about pandas and answer questions about them. To help the students understand the listening material better, I will firstly ask some questions to get them interested in the topic and then play the tape twice with different tasks set for each time. After that, I will lead a discussion on what they have heard from the tape and check their understanding of it by asking some comprehension questions about it. At last, I will ask them to do some exercises on their own as consolidation work. The second part is speaking part which requires students to talk about why they like pandas or other animals in pairs or groups of three or four according to given topics and situations .To achieve this goal ,I’ll use some pictures related with animals ,and then ask them discuss why they like these animals .At last ,I’ll encourage them share their opinions with others .In this way ,they can exchange their ideas freely and practice using language accurately . The third part is writing part which requires students to write an article about why people like pandas or other animals based on what they have discussed in groups before .At first ,I’ll give a brief introduction about how to write an article .Then I’ll explain some useful expressions which are helpful for writing articles .Finally ,I’ll give out an example so that they can understand better how to write such kind of articles .After that ,they can start writing individually based on what they have discussed before in groups or pairs 。 That's all my presentation.
