IL-2 signal Peptide
The IL-2 signal peptide is a short sequence of amino acids found at the N-terminal end of the interleukin-2 (IL-2) protein. This peptide is responsible for directing the IL-2 protein to the endoplasmic reticulum, where it can be processed and secreted. The signal peptide consists of 24 amino acids and has been identified as being essential for proper functioning of the IL-2 protein. It is thought to be important in regulating immune responses by helping to control the amount of IL-2 that is produced in response to various stimuli.
