Friendship is often compared to a flower, as it brings beauty and color into our lives. Like a flower, friendship needs love and care in order to grow and flourish. It needs nurturing, time and patience in order for it to reach its full potential. Friendships come in all shapes and sizes, like the variety of flowers we see in nature. Each type of friendship has its own unique qualities that make it special and worth cherishing. Some friendships are short-lived while others may last a lifetime; however each one should be appreciated for what it is. Just like with a flower, sometimes friendships may experience tough times or go through hard periods of drought. This doesn't mean the friendship is lost forever; instead it just needs extra attention to help it get back on track again. Just as rain can bring life back into wilted petals, so too can compassion bring new life into troubled relationships. We should always take time out to appreciate our friends just like we would admire a beautiful flower in bloom - by showing them how much we care about them and by being there for them when they need us most. A friend who knows that you will always be there for them no matter what is worth more than any amount of money or material goods - they are truly invaluable!
