To ensure the mental health of primary school students, educators need to take effective measures to promote their psychological development and behavior expression. In recent years, situation-based teaching methods have been increasingly used in primary school psychological health education, which is worthy of our attention. This paper will analyze the advantages and roles of creating situations in primary school psychological health education from two aspects: psychological development and behavior representation. Finally, this paper summarizes the use of situational methods to improve the level of primary school psychological health education. Body Paragraphs A. Advantages and Roles of Creating Situations in Primary School Psychological Health Education 1) Psychological Development: The use of situational methods can help stimulate students’ curiosity and creativity, effectively enrich their knowledge structure, enhance their learning ability and interest in learning activities; it can also help them understand some abstract concepts better by using concrete things as a clue; through situational activities , children's cognitive abilities such as analysis, synthesis and evaluation can be trained; it also helps cultivate children's observation ability and communication skills (Chen & Wang , 2017). 2) Behavior Representation: Through situation-based teaching methods, children can get more opportunities to express themselves through active participation in activities (Huang et al., 2020). It can help children develop good behavioral habits that conform to social norms; it also helps them learn how to handle interpersonal relationships properly by simulating real-life situations; most importantly, it allows children to form a positive self-image while learning how to solve problems with empathy (Xu et al., 2019). B. Summary Evaluation on How to Use Situation Methods To Improve Primary School Psychological Health Education Level To improve the level of primary school psychological health education through situation methods requires teachers' professional guidance skills as well as strong control over emotions during classroom teaching process (Feng et al., 2018). First, teachers should be familiar with students' interests in order to plan appropriate topics for class activities; Second ,teachers should have rich experience so that they are able respond quickly during class time according reliable prior experience; Thirdly , teachers need sufficient preparation before class including knowing related knowledge thoroughly so that they are able answer questions from different angles during class time ; Fourthly , teachers should pay close attention student reaction during class time which helps make timely adjustments if necessary . In addition ,it is important for teachers to remain patient while providing necessary guidance when student make mistakes or fail at certain tasks (Chen & Liu , 2016). By doing so , both teacher-student relationship an student learning effect would be greatly improved . Conclusion In summary, creating situations plays an important role in promoting primary school student’s mental health education by stimulating their cognitive development as well as behavior representation . It requires teachers’ careful planning before class combined with strong professional guidance skills which ensures successful implementation of situational teaching strategies .
