Summary: On March 13th, 2021, a mass shooting took place in Louisville, Kentucky. The shooter was identified as 26-year-old Marciano White. Six people were killed and two others were injured in the shooting. Among the deceased victims were two children aged 6 and 8 years old, their mother, and three other adults. The victims were found at three separate locations around the city. Police have yet to determine a motive for the shooting but are continuing to investigate the incident. Comment: This tragedy is heartbreaking and utterly senseless. It is devastating that six lives have been taken away from their families due to this senseless act of violence. Our thoughts are with those affected by this tragedy and we must do our best to ensure that incidents like these never happen again by addressing gun control issues in our society today. We must come together as a community to ensure that all individuals feel safe in their homes and neighborhoods no matter where they live or who they are
