It was a typical day in the small town, and the sun was shining brightly. John, a young man in his twenties, had just finished his morning jog and was walking home. As he passed by the old abandoned house at the end of his street, he noticed something strange. There seemed to be someone inside. John cautiously approached the house and peered through a window. Inside he saw an elderly woman sitting in a chair with her back to him. He knocked on the door but there was no answer. He decided to go inside and see if she needed help. When John entered, he saw that the woman had her head down and appeared to be crying softly to herself. She looked up when she heard him enter and John realized it was his grandmother whom he hadn't seen in years! She explained that she had been living alone in this house since his grandfather passed away many years ago and she hadn't seen anyone since then. John offered to take her home with him so that she wouldn't have to live alone anymore but instead of accepting his offer, she refused it! She told him that although it would be nice for her not to have to live alone anymore, she wanted John's life not hers; because of all of his accomplishments over the years while hers were still stuck in time since her husband's death many years ago. John couldn't believe what he was hearing! He told her that they could both start fresh together; they could make new memories together as family members should do! After some thought, Grandma finally agreed and they left together hand-in-hand back towards John's home where they would start their new life together as family members once again!
