Good morning, everyone! It's my pleasure to be here and share my lesson with you. The title of my lesson is Unit 5 Let's Save the Elephant. This unit mainly consists of 3 parts. Part 1 is about an introduction to endangered species, in which we will learn some new words and expressions related to animals. Part 2 is about the reading passage “Let’s Save the Elephant”, in which we will get a better understanding of endangered species through reading and discussing some questions. And Part 3 is about a writing task—writing a letter to your parents or friends asking them to help save elephants. In this part, I will focus on teaching students how to write a letter with proper structure and language features as well as providing useful expressions for them to use when writing their own letters. I will first introduce some useful expressions for this task by using pictures and then ask students to work in groups discussing what they should include in their letters according to the given situation. After that I will give an example of such a letter on the blackboard so that students can get an overall idea of how it should look like before they start writing their own letters. During this process I will also teach them some language points such as linking words, adjectives etc., which are necessary for writing letters effectively。 At last, I'll give out some feedback after checking their drafts。 That's all for my presentation。 Thank you very much！
