Good morning, everyone! It’s my great honor to stand here and share with you my English lesson. The title of my lesson is Unit 7 What’s the best movie theater? First, let me introduce the background information of this unit. This unit mainly introduces the listening and speaking skills. It focuses on how to make decisions and how to express opinions about movies. Through this unit, students will learn how to ask for and give opinions about movies, as well as discuss different kinds of movie theaters. Second, I want to talk about the teaching aims: 1、Knowledge aim: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to understand some common expressions used when talking about movies; 2、Ability aim: Students will be able to use these expressions correctly in their own conversations; 3、Emotional aim: Students can learn how to make decisions together with their friends or classmates by discussing different kinds of movies or movie theaters. Thirdly, I would like to analyze the students’ language level in this class. The majority of them have mastered basic language knowledge such as grammar and vocabulary but they are not very confident when it comes to using them in conversations. Therefore, I plan on using games and role-play activities during class so that they can practice their speaking skills more effectively while having fun at the same time.
