平行四边形说课稿
Good morning, everyone!
Today I am going to talk about the topic of “Parallelogram”. Firstly, I will introduce the basic concept of a parallelogram and its properties. Then I will discuss how to identify a parallelogram and how to calculate the area of a parallelogram. Finally, I will explain some applications of parallelograms in real life.
A parallelogram is a four-sided polygon with two pairs of parallel sides. The opposite sides are equal in length and parallel to each other. The angles between each pair of adjacent sides are also equal in measure. This means that all four angles in a parallelogram have the same measure, which is 180 degrees divided by 4, or 45 degrees each.
There are several properties that can be used to identify a parallelogram:
1) Opposite sides are equal in length and parallel;
2) Opposite angles are equal;
3) The sum of all interior angles is 360°;
4) Diagonals bisect each other at right angle;
5) Diagonals divide the quadrilateral into two congruent triangles; 6) Both pairs of opposite sides lie on same line when extended beyond their endpoints.
To calculate the area of a parallelogram, we need to know two things: its base (b) and its height (h). The area is calculated by multiplying b times h or A = bh .
Parallelograms can be found everywhere in our everyday life such as roof trusses for buildings, windows, bridges etc.. They can also be used for construction projects such as laying out foundations for houses or buildings due to their stability and strength provided by their parallel lines and angles which make them resistant against forces from different directions .
In conclusion , we have learnt about what is a Parallelogram , how it can be identified , how it's area can be calculated ,and some applications where it's used . That’s all for my presentation today . Thank you !
