INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY We open on a small, cluttered living room. A single window looks out onto the beach. The sun is setting and the sky is turning pink. In the corner of the room, we see a television playing an old black-and-white movie. On the couch sits an old man, his head nodding as he watches the movie. He is wearing a pair of faded blue overalls and a tattered straw hat. He looks up at us with sleepy eyes and smiles weakly as if to say hello. Suddenly, there is a loud buzzing sound coming from outside the window. The man jumps up in surprise and peers out into the twilight sky. We can see hundreds of tiny black dots swarming around in chaotic patterns against the fading light of day. Mosquitoes!
